Blog 2

Today I read the book Miss Nelson is Missing to my neighbors the book it about Miss Nelson's class is very bad and won't listen or do anything Miss Nelson would like them to do. She goes under cover as a mean teacher who all the kids think is very scary. After a while Miss Nelson comes back as her old self and the class is wonderful. This is a great book to read by your self or to younger kids. It teaches kids to not take nice people for granted and to respect your elders.

1.Catcher In The Rye

By J. D. Salinger

This is the 5th time I have read the book “Catcher In the Rye”. This book is about a young man named Holden Caulfield who is talking about the days he spends in New York following his expulsion from Pencey Prep, it seems like he is telling his story while being evaluated at a mental facility. Holden's brother Allies’s death seemed to affect his life and the way he thinks, he died of leukemia three years before. In the book Holden keeps bringing up the rye where he wants to stand and catch children from falling in, and carries around his brother’s old baseball glove that Allie used to write poems in with green ink. I agree with all of the thesis’s about this book, it is a challenging book to understand but once you read it through and go back to look at what Salinger is really trying to write about. It holds a lot of meaning. I love this book.

Adjective

I am musical. Listening to music is something I do all day long; in the car, while I sleep and when I am doing my homework. I can listen to any kind of music, I also love musicals. When I was younger my mom would always bring me to musicals at the Ordway theatre or the Guthrie theatre. My favorites are rent, mamma mia, hairspray, the producers, sweeny todd and the lion king. Out of all the adjectives in the English language I chose to describe myself as musical, because as you can see, I am musical
